An afternoon with Andrea
Andrea Matkin , LMS sales manager at Digits, is fast approaching her three-year mark with the team (which still pales in comparison to her decade-long tenure in the EdTech industry, but we digress).
Heading up the sales function for our award-winning LMS platform, you’ll recognise Andrea as the expert on all things learning technology. She’s conducted more than 150 demos of Digits LMS in the last 12 months, and wanted to share a quick highlight reel of what’s happening in her world:
“I have had the pleasure of speaking with hundreds of L&D professionals this year who are all facing similar challenges in their organisations as we transition into the post-Covid hybrid working world and tackle challenges such as economic uncertainty, talent retention, and the cost-of-living crisis. As a result, skills development and succession planning have become hot topics, as has a greater awareness of employee wellbeing within these rocky times. Moving into 2023, it will be vital for L&D teams to be thinking about how their learning strategy can extend beyond just induction and compliance training to become instead the backbone of their organisation – helping them create a world-class employee experience, develop and retain talent, and improve productivity across their workforce.”?
On a more personal note, Andrea is underway with some exciting side projects:
“We have some really exciting new developments coming up in 2023 for Digits LMS (so watch this space!) To support this, I will be developing more tools and resources to help our customers build their business cases for adopting new LMS technologies. We will also be attending more events —which means more opportunities to learn about what is most important for our customers and what will make the biggest difference to their learning delivery and strategy next year.”
?? My last-played song on Spotify: “Tragedy by Tragedy – disco-metal at its finest!”
?? If I could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, it would be: “a very close call between David Lynch and David Bowie – both are incredible creative geniuses and would offer up some fascinating lunch chat!”?
??? Something I’m looking forward to: “planning a big trip to Bali for next summer with my husband and friends which will include meeting up with Aussie friends whom I haven’t seen in years, and finally meeting my best friend’s three-year-old daughter for the first time!”??
That’s a wrap for Digits this December. We’re wishing you all a wonderful festive break. If you enjoyed today’s L&D digest, feel free to share it with your network, and don’t forget to subscribe. Until next time.
