IT IS OUR WORLD/ IT IS OUR HOPE/ IT IS OUR FUTURE
In the sun I can feel the shade.
I am washing out all the gunk that has settled from watching, listening, and feeling the world.
In this upheaval of social justice, spread of a virus with voices and ideas that are crying and yelling.
Connection and indifference.
Broken and joined.
A collective of energy seasoned, fried and busting out.
If I turn on the tv/internet/social media, it is out there.
If I turn it all off it is out there.
I am a team player.
I can spread the love. Push away the hate. Invite reason and keep talking.
And then I need to turn it off.
Remembering I have a voice I can help. To remind others who they really are.
I take my pen. I take my brush. I spread color like I am spreading love.
Can we remember that we have each other? That we are each other. And take care of each other.
Help me, help you.
Healing and hoping
Receiving and reaching out.
Bless us. Bless you. Bless me.
Cheers to figuring it out.
Making a new of old to be more compassionate and caring.
It is our world. It is our hope.
It is our future.
