Those were the welcoming words of Schaumburg mayor Tom Dailly regarding the opening of our regional headquarters in the US. And he is absolutely right. But I would go even further: it is a testament to the remarkable potential and countless opportunities of the whole country. This is why we are here. This is why we have big plans. And Schaumburg is the perfect place to lift our ambitions to the next level.

North America, with its dynamic business landscape and vast opportunities, holds tremendous potential for growth and innovation. In 2022, the North American market contributed significantly to our record-breaking revenue of EUR 2.23 billion. Our truck-mounted forklifts emerged as the top revenue driver, highlighting the strong demand for our reliable and efficient solutions. Building on this success, we are determined to establish ourselves as the number one provider in North America.

The grand opening of our new regional headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, was a major milestone in fulfilling our aims. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a hub for innovation, allowing us to further strengthen our local presence and cater to the unique needs of North American businesses and industries. With an investment of four million US dollars, we are demonstrating our long-term commitment to this strategic market.

Since establishing our presence in North America in 1989, PALFINGER has been dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. Our extensive sales and service network, supported by over 100 mobile service vehicles, 4 manufacturing sites and 15 locations offering custom-built solutions across the region, has played a crucial role in our success. By combining European technology with American standards and quality, we sure will deliver tailor-made solutions meeting the ever-changing needs of our customers.

From September 26-28 we therefore presented our latest range of lifting solutions specifically designed to meet the needs of the North American utility industry at The Utility Expo. In Louisville, Kentucky we displayed an extensive range of our solutions – from bucket and mechanic truck over aerial work platform to service and knuckle boom crane – underscoring our commitment to innovation and customer-centricity. The trade show forms a great opportunity to engage with our partners and customers so we can keep developing solutions tailored to the North American market.
