We’re so pumped about the latest release of Beast Core! Are you?
Beast Core’s plugin architecture transforms the product from an application to a platform. Each major feature is broken up into what we call “plugins” and enables other organizations to develop customizations using Beast Core’s out of the box features as a foundation. A plugin could be a new user interface to capture data in a workflow, a new way to visualize information in the 3D Viewer, or even an integration with another application. We read the book Measure What Matters by John Doerr a couple years ago and were hooked on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). An OKR is simply a measurable goal intended to be difficult to achieve. So what did we do? We made a ton of OKRs! And we missed the mark on almost all of them. There were too many to track and honestly, they weren’t impactful/important enough for us to spend time on. Fast forward two years and we have a small set of refined OKRs, all focused towards where we want to be as a company in the future. Each key result is assigned to a senior leader and teams across the company are bought in and contributing to the success of the objectives. For us, it was a lesson in starting small and iterating. Even if iterating meant starting over (a few times!) and using the lessons learned to build a stronger foundation. ??
