Draper Engineering was set up in 2018 to supply professional services to the rail industry by combining international experience with local Australian knowledge. We are committed to the rail industry which is rightly recognised as one of the most sustainable means of transport that will contribute greatly to the international carbon neutral targets.

We are passionate about supporting our clients and helping them solve their problems. With 45 years rail experience on a variety of projects we are well positioned to do this.

Our main areas of expertise are rolling stock and standards. Our Managing Director Paul Draper has been a Chartered Mechanical Engineer for 37 years and is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Our project portfolio includes project management of new train builds, supporting MR4 as the PTV rolling stock SME, certification of rolling stock, authoring of Australian Rail Standards and management of standards for the Victorian Big build projects LXRP and RPV.
