Our Third Year of Equipping Restorers and Charting the Path to a Smarter Tomorrow
Welcome back to In The Know! This month, we launched our third annual C&R State of the Industry survey while simultaneously making an impact at major conferences and unveiling exciting new partnerships. Restorers, here are the latest insights and tools to help you thrive in the restoration industry. So, grab your coffee, and let's catch up!
Help Strengthen the Industry!
If you haven't already seen, The 2024 C&R State of the Industry Report survey is NOW LIVE, and we're already two weeks into the survey process.
Together with C&R Magazine, we're gathering insights and workforce data from restoration leaders to establish key trends and benchmarks, helping businesses improve year over year. The survey is open until August 16th, 2024, and we're calling on all restorers to help make this the most impactful State of the Industry report to date.
Your input helps us create a comprehensive picture of the challenges and opportunities that all restorers face. So, don't miss out—dust off your keyboards, roll up your sleeves, and set aside 20 minutes to make your mark by participating in this year's survey. Take the survey now.
This year, our survey launch was extra special: We had the privilege of launching it at one of our favorite industry events, CoreLogic's The Collective! More on that event below.
Highlights and Insights from The Collective
In addition to launching our survey, Leighton T Healey took the stage at The Collective by CORE GROUP to unpack the major trends from last year’s survey, and how artificial intelligence is impacting the restoration industry.
But that's not all! The KnowHow Team also led the 'First of its Kind' KnowHow VendorVantage Workshop. This session was tailored for vendors, with a focus on how they can maximize their investment in conferences and create content marketing campaigns that speak directly to their buyers.
Thank you to our partners at CORE GROUP for the opportunity to take the main stage, and unpack the major trends impacting the property restoration industry. This is one of our favorite events all year, and this conference didn't disappoint!
See You Soon: The Experience Trade Show
Speaking of conferences, our partners at Restoration & Remediation Magazine are gearing up for The Experience, an incredible event taking place this September.
'The Experience Convention and Tradeshow’ will take place from September 4 - 6 in Las Vegas and cover every aspect of the cleaning and restoration industry. Over the three days, you'll learn actionable skills during hands-on training pavilions, network and learn about the newest innovative products and technology from vendors on the tradeshow floor, and gain inspiration from keynote speakers Garret Gray ay of CoreLogic and our very own Leighton T Healey of KnowHow.
Make sure you don't miss out on this experience! We'll be unveiling our newest book, "Building Leaders: Overcoming the Emerging Leadership Crisis in Property Restoration." If you find us early enough at Booth #200, you might even snag a free copy!
Register for your tickets today at: https://www.randrmagonline.com/the-experience-convention
And, to make it easier for all our clients to attend, KnowHow customers get 20% off their tickets. See you there!

Building a Bionic Workforce: Technology Meets Talent
It’s no secret that the number of experienced workers entering the workforce is dwindling. So, how can restorers fill the knowledge gap? For Keegan H. Trudgen of PuroClean , the answer is to create a bionic workforce.
A "Bionic Workforce” refers to employees who are enhanced by technology, allowing them to achieve much more than their analog counterparts, and Keegan gives the blueprint for seizing this opportunity in our most recent ‘Winning with Workers’ article in Restoration & Remediation Magazine ?
Each month, this series, inspired by our book Winning With Workers, explores the foundational principles for attracting and retaining the best talent and spotlights different restoration leaders who are willing to share their secret sauce for success—so you can win, too. Stay tuned for more insights and success stories; we've got lots coming your way!
