Hyde attended MAGIC in Las Vegas, one of the largest fashion?conventions?for?retailers, buyers, and industry leaders. Over 300 brands attended to showcase their trend driven collections in apparel, footwear, and accessories.?
We focused on small and medium sized brands and retailers, some showcasing their collections at MAGIC for the first time, others with deep roots in the MAGIC community.
- Sustainability is a key theme, as brands consider it an important traction point for attracting GenZ. However, beyond pure messaging, we were not able to identify a clear path amongst most brands to meet the regulatory standards looms (click?here).
- Brands are struggling with balancing MOQs and positive unit costs, and are having to?produce?in large quantities. This,?without adequate estimation for proper sales channels, is creating pressure to sell in large quantities at discounts.
- Retailers and brands are facing pressure to extend the geographic reaches of their current markets in an effort to move their existing inventory, raising their CACs.
