“Currently working on the 121 - North Cambridge Project, which involves a charging facility for 34 battery-electric buses. I am focusing on understanding RFI's (Request for Information), Submittals, the role of a land surveyor, and Steel Quality Control (Steel QC). Learning about the critical need for communication clarity in RFI's and Submittals, the precision and accuracy required in land surveying, and the rigorous quality standards necessary for Steel QC in construction projects.”




“I have learned how to multitask and stay organized while working. I have been helping out with purchasing and estimating. As well as creating tracking spreadsheets and cable labels.”

“I have been working on updating daily logs, marking up drawings, looking closer at submittals – extracting comments from them, and have also been a helping hand around the office. I’ve learned that there is a lot that goes into a project this scale than I thought. College courses gave me an idea but being here in person, seeing everyone do their part, really puts the amount of work and collaboration that must get done into perspective.”?
“Through the past month I have learned the ins and outs of event management. As well as new organizational and graphic design skills. I have created LinkedIn graphics, brainstorming ideas for our soon to be social media accounts and doing administrative work”
“I am working at loc replacing the CRAC units that keep the servers that operate the entire airport cool. I have learned how to take an idea that could make the project better, and then make that idea a reality. I have also learned how to adapt to the many challenges every job faces.”
“I am member of the team working on the Viaduct Project, performing bridge repairs on the I-90 Mass Pike. So far, I have been exposed to a wide range of operations for this project, including quantity tracking, traffic management plans, and coordinating with subcontractors. Most recently, I completed a rough order of magnitude on some of the materials we plan to utilize for this project, and I am looking forward to seeing how my efforts will contribute to this team.”
