To Our Sheepdogs, in this Dark Hour

Hey, call me “Lt.Col. Obvious” but 2020 so far really sucks!

Thus, to all those who bear the shield, to those who are a “living shield of flesh and blood” protecting the innocent, to the utmost of your ability, in these dark days, I just want to say:  “THANK YOU!” 

Believe in who you are.  Believe in what you do.  And know that we are so very PROUD of you! It is in the darkest hour, that your courage, honor and integrity shines brightest.

These days are tough, but you, our protectors, our “sheepdogs,” you have prepared for these times.  I believe that God has put you here, “For just such a time as this.”  You stand for JUSTICE, and you protect those who exercise their Constitutional Rights -- remembering that “right” goes no further than peaceful protests.  We must let lawful protesters express their concerns, and protect them while they do so.

As you protect law-abiding citizens, you also have a DUTY to protect yourselves and your family in blue.  You have a DUTY to go home at the end of your shift.  You have a DUTY to use whatever lawful force necessary to keep lawful order.  You must not hesitate to use your training to keep peace and order, keep lawful citizens safe and their property secure, and to keep YOURSELVES safe.

Know that our Constitution, our President, and our Nation, stand behind you in this dark hour.  I believe that God has put you here, "For just such a time as this."

To the spouses and families of those magnificent men and women protecting our Great Nation: stand tall and know that we are filled with gratitude to YOU, for their willingness to keep us safe.  They “soar higher than an eagle,” because “you are the wind beneath their wings.”  We are also filled with GRATITUDE for all that YOU DO in your love and support of our protectors and their vital mission.  You contribute to their mission in the most important manner, and to you also we say: “Thank you!”

We lift you and your spouse up in prayer, praising the Lord for all you do.  Again: our Constitution, our President, and our citizens stand behind you and support you. In opinion polls, over and over again, our military and our law enforcement are still the two most trusted institutions in America. This who attack our law enforcement officers are doing themselves enormous harm at the national, political level, and JUSTICE will prevail in the end.

We ask, dear Lord, for protection of the protectors.  Keep their spirits lifted and let them know that, without them, if there was no one willing to do their job, then our nation would surely be damned and doomed.

Hang tough, Keepers of Peace, we need you now more than ever!
