Our Secret to Rise When Falling #Leadership??
Today, in some cultures, ?grace, ??compassion, and ??reflection are the focus, so it seems right to share what we do when things don’t go according to plan, and roadblocks emerge to make our goals seem harder to achieve.
The inspiration was brought to us by our fantastic SIU Investigator, Renee Sloan , who posted?this quote by Nelson Mandela: "The greatest glory in living lies not in never failing but in rising every time we fall.” ?
This reminded us that the most successful people we know have turned their “falls” into inspiring comebacks. And that rising cannot happen without grace. And yes, this is our comeback story. ?
?? Think of a time when something in your life was going terribly wrong, but you had the capacity to find the light. A moment when you felt stuck in darkness, navigating uncertainty, and grasping for air, but you were able to get to the other side. These moments are powerful because they signify a reemergence of our own faith. And this is exactly what is currently happening at Advize —the reemergence of our team ??
Earlier this year, as we were reflecting on how we could continue to move forward as a stronger team, we realized that our SIU was not unified. A lack of transparency and communication was hindering our excellence, and we quickly knew there were internal improvements that needed to be made. But we were willing to get it done, have tough conversations, reconnect, listen, and invest the time because this is what we fight and stand for.
It was a hard truth for sure, but new opportunities and wonderful people were waiting to be discovered.
I want to highlight some of our fearless leaders: our Sr?Director Ashlee H. , our SIU Director, Matt Kochanski and our?SIU Managers Mandi Berg ?and Dan Nicolino, CFE . They have all provided our team with guidance from a collaborative approach and supported our growth and unification.
Their leadership is demonstrated through their?willingness to roll up their sleeves and grind?through the lowest level issues to perform root-cause analysis, while at the same time using their executive skills?to craft a masterful solution.?Thank you, Ashlee, Matt, Mandi and Dan, all of the growth that we have accomplished this year could never have been possible without you.
And to you, our clients and readers, we thank you for being our constant companion and partner, collaborating through both the good and not-so-good times.
Hoping this newsletter reminds you to rise when you feel like you are falling, and especially to continue believing in those moments and the people who will come into your life to reemerge your faith.
Please enjoy and feel free to reach out to us; we love to hear from you.
Jeanmarie Loria, MBA, PMP, CPC and the Advize Team.
PS: The best hostesses!?Special shout out to Mandi Berg , Stefanie Lawrence , and Julie Smallwood for inviting us to their hometown and taking us golfing just a few weeks ago.
Amazing team.?Great afternoon.?Good weather.?Nice lunch.
We can't wait to do it again!
