The first time I learned about the new, Chicago school project was on Friday, May 12th, 2017, at the 20th Anniversary - A Disciplined Life Gala. I was a volunteer that night on behalf of my aviation employer, AAR. Just outside the Transportation Gallery at the Museum of Science and Industry with a 727 overhead, Mr. Tony Anderson, Board Chair of Perspectives Charter Schools, presented a plan of how capital funds would be raised to purchase a facility (the former Soft Seen HQ), and build a school. On Thursday, September 5th, 2019, I attended the Ribbon Cutting ceremony at the new Perspectives Leadership Campus school house.
Congratulations to one and all, as I think collective hard work and great people helped build the school, which will deliver quality education to the students and families of Perspectives for years to come. Friends, please believe in young people, and encourage them to be relentless, emboldened, and a true voice of change. Finally, special thank-you to Rev. Dr. Michael Pfleger, Senior Pastor, Saint Sabina for blessing the adaptive reuse Auburn Gresham neighborhood project.

5 年Years ago, when I was in public accounting, I worked with a small firm and one of my assignments was to audit Perspectives Charter School. Glad to see they have been so successful.
