Our sales team reaches for the Humantay

Our sales leads went in search of adventure towards the always dazzling Cusco landscapes. But this time?- José, Milagros, Ronald and Cecilia - had their sights set on a destination seldom visited by international tourists, Humantay.?

Memorable landscapes

The views surrounding the Salkantay, located in the north of Cusco, leave a mark in the memory of travelers. The peak of this sacred mountain of Quechua name - "wild mountain"- waters local fields, and brings to life its lake son, the Humantay.?

Early in the morning, our sales team left the icy Cusco weather, to head towards the mountains aboard an SUV.

On the way, they enjoyed the high-Andean landscapes, the intense blue skies, and the company of our intrepid adventure leads in the Cusco team, Fernando and Edwin.

Upon arrival, the Salkantay waves an icy hello to its visitors, who will warm up with each step they take across these paths, that put visitors to the test.

This was the case for Cecilia Ochoa - our Commercial Manager for USA and Canada - who was challenged by the mountain. She felt she was not going to arrive, that she had run out of energy, but it all changed when coming face to face with the shimmering turquoise waters, at the foot of the Salkantay.?

This sacred encounter, and the sense of accomplishment, re-energized her. On her way back, when coming across others who seemed to be struggling, she encouraged them to continue their pursuit for the views that were well-worth the effort. A sentiment shared among the team.

Reconnecting in the Sacred Valley and Cusco

The remaining days were less intense, but just as exciting.

They visited suppliers - who are also friends - in Cusco and the Sacred Valley after a long isolation period, that each time seems further in the past.

A popular new experience among the group, was the dinner-pairing at the Libertador Hotel . A rich feast based on fine wine, including Peruvian produce, paired with an array of cheeses, hams, and dry fruits, that creates flavor nuances that entice the senses.
