Our Rivers Partnership Meeting
The Living Coast UNESCO Biosphere
Connecting people with nature in our world-class environment of Downs, Towns and Coast.
?? Did you hear that we hosted "Our Rivers" the first open to the public biosphere partnership meeting last week.
We were thrilled to have over 50 attendees joining us both in-person at the #LinklaterPavilion by the #OuseRiver in Lewes District Council and online.
If you missed it, don’t worry! You can now view all the speaker presentations online here: Our Rivers Presentation and explore the great work being done to protect, restore & enhance our rivers. ??
We had a fantastic line-up of local experts, each driving impactful change for the Adur and Ouse rivers. We discussed community action, environmental restoration, and sustainable water management.
Here’s a quick recap of our speakers:
?? #HelenMeade from THE RAILWAY LAND WILDLIFE TRUST LIMITED ?? spoke on environmental education and local youth action.
?? Pete King from Ouse & Adur Rivers Trust highlighted inspiring restoration projects ??? like the #AdurRecovery and #WinterbourneChalkStream.
?? Natasha Padbury from #LoveOurOuse shared how this community initiative is reconnecting people with the river, from source to sea ?
?? Sean Ashworth from Southern Water ?? outlined efforts to improve water quality through The Aquifer Partnership
Stay connected - we will be sharing details of our next quarterly meeting shortly
