Our Quarterly Highlights
Canadian Insider Risk Management CoE | CdE canadien pour la gestion des risques internes
A not-for-profit entity that is evolving Canada's capabilities in insider risk management
What an amazing journey so far in 2023!?
The interest and support that we continue to receive nationally and internationally has been nothing short of phenomenal.?
Please have a look at some of our recent milestones, and we look forward to continue providing updates as we progress on our initiatives with private, public, and international partners.
There is so much more good work that I could share; however, I will save some for the next quarter. C-InRM CoE continues to rely on the goodwill of those in the greater community of practice who have supported our initiatives and provided input to inform our direction and operations. We thank everyone who has contributed for your feedback to date and look forward to further collaboration as the year unfolds.
Best,
Victor M. , Executive Director @
NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH IN JANUARY
We launched a website to broaden our Internet presence and promote knowledge about our insider risk management (InRM) solutions.
In addition to providing updates on our work in the broader national and international community of InRM practitioners, we will be updating our training offerings, highlighting new risk mitigation resources available to the wider community, and begin to publish our research on the website this year. Come by to see periodic updates.
FIRST TECHNICAL TRAINING CERTIFICATE COURSE DELIVERED
Our Chief Learning Officer, Brian Thompson , delivered our very first technical training certificate course in insider risk and screening factors.
Feedback from participants representing 10 Canadian private and public organizations included:
? True Canadian examples, easier to relate and demonstrate that this is an issue in Canada
? I am glad this program exists in Canada, and it needs to grow bigger especially for private organizations
? If all training/awareness sessions were delivered the way that Brian delivers them, I would be away attending them all the time!!
The course is delivered in partnership with Carleton University, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Professional Training and Development NPSIA-PT&D .
Participants who are ASIS International members also receive 12 ASIS Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits - Aligns with ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), and Associate Protection Professional (APP) certification programs.
Registration is open. Space is limited. The next course will be held on May 17 and 18, 2023 at 9am - 4pm EST (virtual).
