Our Primary World Book Day Winners!

On World book day we launched our first ever short story competition, you can see what I wrote about our decision to launch the competition here : https://bit.ly/2dKizYc .

It was a resounding success with schools across the west midlands competing for the £500 prize. We were really lucky and grateful that two local comedians Jo Enright https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo_Enright and Craig Deeley https://www.comedycv.co.uk/craigdeeley/ agreed to judge for us.

It was an amazing result for Summerfield Primary who claimed the winners and runners up prize in the primary categories. We were invited to their Harvest Festival assembly to present and read out the winning story to the whole school. It was fantastic to see how proud Cecelia and Malika were to win prizes for themselves and the school. As well as the reaction of sheer delight from all the pupils when they realised the school was getting £500 of new books!

We are so proud of everyone who entered the competition and all the hard work the teachers put in to make it a success. We are looking forward to launching more competitions and would love to hear any ideas you have for these!
