Our Next Chapter.
Dear Ones,
The seed for True Life Center was planted decades before any business plan was formulated.?
Perhaps the seed was planted in my childhood, where I sought answers to questions about the dysregulation?I witnessed, long before understanding the meaning of transgenerational trauma.
Perhaps it was when I worked at a birthing center and supported women during the transformation of bringing life into this world, or when I worked in the hospital providing dignity during the transition of death.??
Perhaps it was when training in family medicine, and faced with patient after patient experiencing the physical manifestations of mental health conditions, but lacking the time or resources to address it.?
Or perhaps the seed was planted when I worked in addiction medicine for a healthcare conglomerate, and treatment options often felt rushed or one-size-fits-all.
Lebanese-American poet Kahil Gibran wrote that “every seed is a longing.” My longing for True Life Center was a longing to provide truly integrative treatment – to utilize the healing power of connection and collaboration to re-introduce patients to their authentic self.
Whenever it was that the seed was planted within me, I know for certain that it sprouted only through the generosity and contributions of many.?
