Our New Year's resolution: A greener world

The IoT industry is deeply committed to creating a more sustainable world.

At LORIOT , we understand that technology must go beyond digital transformation, achieving a positive impact that translates into economic, social, and environmental value.

With this in mind, we would like to highlight the importance of staying in sync with the environment and how IoT technology can help address climate change and natural disasters.

We initiated the task by conducting a detailed analysis of the present scenario. As a result, we created an infographic that captures the economic and human impact of extreme weather events over the last decades and, in particular, in 2023.

To tackle this growing and worrying problem, the integration of IoT and environmental monitoring practices emerges as a potent ally to improve our ability to monitor natural resources, climate conditions, and effectively prepare for severe weather events.

That's why we created LORIOT Verso, our new business division that seamlessly integrates IoT capabilities and environmental monitoring expertise to provide end-to-end solutions that assess environmental behavior and promote sustainable practices.

Environmental monitoring through IoT goes beyond observation.

Seeed Studio , one of our partners, shares the same commitment, as is evident in their 2023 Sustainability Report. Their comprehensive document outlines how sustainability is integrated into their corporate culture, business practices, and product offerings.

Along the same line, our partner Libelium has recently published the "IoT Green Book," which delves into the significant changes, emerging trends, and innovative solutions in the IoT landscape.

The publication highlights how IoT functions as a catalyst of positive change and an ally in promoting sustainability practices across various sectors.

IoT can be a very important tool to face climate challenges but its value can be extended to many other verticals. Our goal as LORIOT is to make IoT pervasive and to do so we continue to grow and nurture our partnership ecosystem, as we understand the value of collaboration to achieve shared goals and drive meaningful impact.

That's why we are excited to start the year with the announcement of our partnership with SYSCOM , the largest distributor of telecommunications and hardware in Latin America.

Through this new business relationship, our goal is to accelerate the growth of the LoRaWAN ecosystem by providing end-to-end solutions specifically designed for the Latin American market.

Finally, we were thrilled to announce our participation as exhibitors in the upcoming E-world energy & water event, where we will be joining forces with key players in the IoT field, such as mioty alliance , 威卡集团 , Diehl Metering , Lansen Systems AB , Sentinum GmbH , Stadtwerke Duisburg AG , and LeineNetz GmbH.

Our LORIOT team and the aforementioned companies will be stationed together in the Smart Metering Hub, a space where visitors can create customized IoT networks and lay the groundwork for their smart city ventures with the latest and most advanced products and services for the energy industry.

With a clear goal for the year ahead, our commitment to a greener world inspires us to reinforce our work in developing innovative IoT solutions, collaborative efforts, and contributing to sustainable practices through the capabilities of IoT Environmental Monitoring.
