Implementation of the Global Minimum Tax

As from 2023, Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) will be subject to a minimum 15% tax rate through the so-called Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) rules under Pillar two.

The implementation of this major reform of the international tax system will have an impact on those MNEs based in more than?140?countries?under the OECD/G20 Inclusive framework on BEPS. Hence, businesses carried out by large MNEs in jurisdictions such as Mauritius may be impacted by this Pillar two?GloBE rules.
