Our Modern Country with Underdeveloped Problems

Our Modern Country with Underdeveloped Problems

In the Business Chamber of Commerce seminar that my staff and I attended today, we had a bank manager outlining the level six water restrictions that some parts of Australia are currently facing. She was explaining that in those areas, people are using wipes to replace showering, there are even limitations in terms of water bottle consumption.

The bank manager was explaining that her small organisation had raised a total of $4000 for donations with a long wish list from the locals, I find this saddening because the extent of the disaster of the droughts requires more substantial funding and planning for the future.

It's shocking to know that we're living in a modern country with not enough water pipelines in certain areas or an effective solution.

Later on, after walking in the shopping center, I passed through a well-established business that had signs everywhere, stating that they were going through administration, after 50 years of running their company. It hurts to say this, but we witnessed so many of these businesses in our shopping centre suddenly shut down due to low profit and subsequanty bankruptcy.

We should hold our government more accountable and try to be the voice of the people who have no voice. We need to do this in ways that preserve proper levels of accountability for the way that public funds are used.

Thank you for sharing. I think this is just tip of the iceberg. There are lots of unprofessional and uneducated managers in high positions in many companies in Australia.
