Our machines are normal,but we are not normal

In 31st May,I received an enquiry form VWATJ's supplier.There was a plastic product's dimension over tolerance which cause test issue,and their supplier could not adjust it.The part is assembly on transmission,so it is very importance.

Our customer searched injection mold company in China,and they received lots of quotations.eventually, they chose us cause my design concept which open mold sequence, manufacture process and analysis report are difference than others.

Last Monday, VW Globe China engineer visited our factory,and had a meeting with us.He shared his concern about our factory and asked many questions about the product and ensuring making good products.He Said:"This part was focused by over a hundred engineers in TJ'VW and German VW. Your factory are in normal level,not like others which have Switzerland precise 5 axis CNC and automatic production line.I don't want to hear you say you have done similar part before,I want your share your ideal about this part and how to make sure the dimensions in tolerance."In my heart,I known he had a little disappointment about our factory''s machine.I shared all my analysis and manufacture control process,experience try to persuade him and ……

Last Tuesday,VWATJ's Measurement Engineer visited our factory to discuss about the measurement methods and detail test issue,we finally fund the root cause about the test issue which previous mold company ignored it and pay much time to adjust relative dimension.We get agreement about changed a bit about measurement.It will help a lot for my customer to product the part.

last Friday,my customer use my concept to changed old mold open sequence and had tested which result was big improvement,then they confirm us to ordered the material and start manufacture.

In my opinion,It is right that our machines are normal in VW's supplier chain,but in my heart i don't agree that we are normal.I still remembered Benz rearview mirror' housing cover first time made in China in 2012,The MAGNA sent part to many mold companies asked for the release product solution(modify a bit of product) .TK is one of them,and I was arranged to solve it.Eventually with our team help my solution win all of them,and the mold structure is simple,maintainable and stable than it had done similar product in German where they always done.In my view,If the machine's tolerance is meet the product,The human is better importance than the machine which had a bit precision.
