Our Lives Will Change When Our Thoughts Change
Our lives change when our thoughts change. We are never going to receive what we don’t feel we deserve. We will push love away to keep our hearts protected. Love and caring friendships will not be ours until we can envision ourselves being worthy of them.
Thousands of thoughts float into our consciousness every day. Some of them are true and some of them are crazy, aren’t they? Which thoughts do you give attention to? Which ones do you believe? Promise yourself to focus on your thoughts that support you and encourage you to continue moving in a positive direction. Ignore the untrue thoughts that make you feel undeserving. Ignore all thoughts that may have originated from small-minded, hurting people who pushed their own negative feelings on your innocent mind. This criticism came from adults who were suffering from the negative impact of their own childhood. If you had a hurting person as a parent, they may have lashed out at you because they did not understand how to process their own pain. Hurt people hurt people. Begin healing yourself by attending to thoughts that encourage you to face new challenges. Focus on thoughts that say you are worthy of success, deserving of love always, and open to all of life’s many blessings.
