Our life Aperture and Shutter Speed
In photography, there is this thing called Aperture: it is the hole through which light travels and, ultimately, allows you to capture photographies.
Another key concept is Shutter Speed, that measures “how long” the aperture should be open.
In open sunlight, you need a small hole and a very fast shutter speed.
This morning I woke up to the singing of the blue tits, beautiful sunrise and while taking a short walk with the dog, I couldn’t do anything else but admire the paradise where I live.
A red squirrel stopped by to say hello, the sun was illuminating the lake in front of me, and I could only hear differently tuned in melodies of the birds.
Some other mornings, this very same place I call Home, gives me some different feelings, mostly caused by other factors: grey sky, poor Internet connection, or just a moody wake-up.
In those mornings, I can get the same light and brightness, if only I readjusted my internal aperture and shutter speed. By looking better and thinking more about how grateful we have to be, to be alive and to be here.
As always, this is a matter of perspective. This paradise is out there, always present. It’s up to us whether we are letting the light in or not.
