Our Last Bite of the Big Apple: A Recap of Vision Expo East 2024

It was another successful Vision Expo East, and the last one in New York City before we head to Orlando in 2025. As co-owners of Vision Expo, we’re thrilled to reflect on the incredible energy, innovation, and collaboration that filled the show floor this year. Vision Expo East 2024 brought together and showcased the best of the best from leaders across the optical industry.?

The show floor was full of ground breaking technology and thought-provoking discussions between our exhibitors and attendees. Together we all explored new products and emerging trends that chart the course for future vision care.?

Among the highlights were the second annual NOW Awards, standing room-only presentations of breakthrough technologies and trending fashion, in-depth market research revelations, enjoyable musical performances, and explosive product launches. Over 450 exhibitors and more than 200 education sessions at the Javits Center complemented widespread networking and celebrations that took place across Manhattan as attendees, exhibitors, and Show organizers marked the end of the industry trade show’s almost four-decade long run in New York.

Special appearances and activations including an appearance by National Basketball Association (NBA) star and Oakley Athlete J.R. Smith at the EssilorLuxottica booth, rapper Jim Jones at Vintage Frames Company , and jazz musician Marquis Hill at Europa Eyewear , added further excitement to the high-energy event, which saw increased attendance over last year’s show.

The Vision Council also welcomed members to our Member Reception at Castell Rooftop Lounge at the AC Hotels by Marriott New York Times Square. The evening was spent reconnecting with friends and colleagues, and making new connections over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres - all set against the backdrop of stunning views of Manhattan.
