Our Goals Will Define Our Actions

Can anyone say that they “finished” the pursuit of gaining more money? ??

In projects or in video games, we might have a beginning and end, so it’s easy to have a clearly defined goal you can either achieve or not. ???

However, when we talk about money, in reality, it’s not really the end goal that we’re looking to achieve, because there is none…

Sure you might have a monthly or yearly income goal, but what happens once you achieve it? You’ll want more and more. Because it’s not necessarily about the money anyway, it’s about the feelings that come with it. ??

What’s the difference between a $10k car vs a $100k car vs a $1 mil. car? ????

Is each one of them really x10 better, or faster, or more useful than the other one? ??

Most people want the feelings associated with that car. We can both agree that we can have the feelings even if we take money out of the equation, isn’t that right? ??

Imagine that starting tomorrow, all money in the world is gone. Would that mean that we won’t be able to achieve those same feelings that money gave us before they disappeared? ??

If money would bring happiness on its own, would we even have rich sad people? ??

I know what you’re thinking. They probably don’t know where to shop. If you had the same amount of money, you would be different. You’d be happy. ??

How would it feel if you would have a card with unlimited amounts of money? But to have it, you’d have to work 12 hours a day each day. The moment you stop working, your card is gone. ??

Or would you rather work 8 hours a day, 3 days at the office, 2 days at home, and have some money to save at the end of the month as well? ??

In most cases, we just want freedom but since so many of us are constantly comparing ourselves to others, there will always be an EXTRA freedom feature we can buy. ??
