We want that?every GEEQ (that's every geek with EQ) is able to be their authentic self and do what they love in an environment which enables them to learn and grow. Our goal is?to create these opportunities and connect women in IT.?
GEEQ was born in Sydney. We have a strong presence in Sydney but we are branching out! We realized we can help more people by favoring remote and hybrid events which give our participants the freedom of choice.?
No one in our community should miss out on the opportunity to connect with hiring managers, fellow engineers, or Talent Acquisition working in the company of their dreams. We want to make sure every GEEQ?(that's every geek with EQ)?in the?APAC region is aware of our events and gets the opportunity to?attend our free events that are open to everyone regardless of their gender or background.
To accomplish this, we are launching our GEEQ Ambassador Program and we are now looking for our first GEEQ Ambassadors. Ambassadors are GEEQs who believe in our mission! They will help us bring more women into IT, keep them there, and help them unleash their potential.
Ambassadors will support us by actively promoting GEEQ on social media to make sure no one misses out. They attend our events and share their experience and learnings with the community.?
Who we are looking for?
GEEQ is looking for volunteers who are passionate about?gender equality and believe in GEEQ's mission.?Achieving gender equality is important not only because it is ‘fair’ and ‘the right thing to do,’ but it will result in economic growth for everyone.
