The 4th of February is commemorated as World Cancer Day. Today marks twenty-five years of signing the?Charter of Paris Against Cancer. The 2025 World Cancer Day is themed?United by Unique,?which is a reminder of the collective commitment to fight cancer.
Cancer research is a strong focus of the Institut Cochin, with 15 teams involved in the studying molecular and cellular mechanisms that favor the development of cancers in the context of their microenvironment. A major aim of our research is to develop novel therapies, especially immunotherapies against cancer:
Our research in this field has been strengthened with the recent recruitment of Luca Simula, who is working on the role of metabolism in the regulation of intratumoral migration of T lymphocytes, and has been a winner of the Fondation Bristol Myers Squibb prize 2025.
