Our focus on cancer research

The 4th of February is commemorated as World Cancer Day. Today marks twenty-five years of signing the?Charter of Paris Against Cancer. The 2025 World Cancer Day is themed?United by Unique,?which is a reminder of the collective commitment to fight cancer.

Cancer research is a strong focus of the Institut Cochin, with 15 teams involved in the studying molecular and cellular mechanisms that favor the development of cancers in the context of their microenvironment. Our research in this field has been strengthened with the recent recruitment of Luca Simula, who is working on the role of metabolism in the regulation of intratumoral migration of T lymphocytes, and has been a winner of the Fondation Bristol Myers Squibb prize 2025.
