Our First Podcast Episode Drops Today

The Journey Has Just Begun

Today marks the release of our very first podcast episode, and I’ll be honest: I’m nervous.

Will our message come across the way we intend?

Can we meet expectations?

What if it doesn't go as planned?

But if there’s one lesson personal growth has taught me, it’s this: start before you’re ready, embrace the process, and remember that the journey is the goal.

01 Our first Episode

We recorded our first episode three times – trial, error, and learning at its best. From purchasing equipment (including far too many unnecessary cables) to finding the right structure, topics, and even creating a jingle, the process was more demanding than expected.

This first episode introduces us as hosts, our friendship, and the motivation behind this podcast: to create something real and relatable.

"Nimms Ah - Nimms Wahr"?

The podcast is called "Nimms Ah - Nimms Wahr", a Swiss German phrase meaning “accept it and perceive it.” The name emerged from our brainstorming sessions and perfectly reflects our intention. As we dive into deep and sometimes uncomfortable topics, it’s a gentle reminder to open your heart, reflect, accept, and perceive life’s challenges. This isn’t about adopting our opinions but rather encouraging an open mindset, both for ourselves and for anyone listening. We aim to face life’s hurdles without closing off our hearts.

The "Why"

Our mission? To break taboos around topics like mental health, spirituality, everyday struggles, and personal development. We may be in our mid-20s and early 30s, but life has already thrown us challenges that shaped who we are. Sharing our stories and the insights we’ve gained – our "full backpacks" of tips – is our way of offering support or sparking reflection. We know not every piece of advice will resonate with everyone, but even helping just one person aligns with our mantra.

We’re not experts; we’re two women navigating life, philosophizing about it, and sharing openly with you. The podcast is in Swiss German, our mother tongue, because it’s where we feel most authentic. For those who are interested, I’ll provide short summaries of each episode in the future.

Our journey begins today at 18:18 on Spotify. We’re excited, imperfect, and ready to learn. Thank you for being part of this adventure!
