OUR FINANCIAL PROBLEMS ARE NEVER ABOUT THE MONEY

Last month I received a wats app from a #MoneyMagic student and former coaching client (see attachment).

When this student started doing the work with me 16 months ago, I told her to imagine her wildest dreams and what she wanted her life to look like in a year and we would work on that.

She decided on 2 things:

1) Being debt free

2) An extra stream of income in her chosen career path (she is passionate Bout her chosen career)

Bonus: International travel

At the time, these goals seemed massive because of her debt, if you've ever been in debt and financially overwhelmed, you know how trivial a goal travel can seem.

And worse - imagine a coach like me, who refuses to let people cut down on basics and do traditional budgeting.

But fast forward 16 months later and this student is almost debt free, has actually taken her first international trip outside of South Africa to an Asian country for 10 days and is working on an extra stream of income in her career path and the work she is doing is impactful! Oh, she is also actively saving and investing - I referred her to my financial advisor for that. Logic would say, she can't travel internationally, pay off debt and save at the same time, because there isn't enough money. 

If you ask her what she did or is doing to have these shifts, she'll tell you about the practical stuff and talk about meditations and how annoyed she'd get with me because I would make her go into the dark and uncomfortable traumas she felt around money and how that felt uncomfortable and at first completely unrelated to money and yet somehow she just finds her finances changing and finds herself going after her income goals without the usual fear. 

And she'll probably mention that after a while she actually started to like me and our sessions ??

It's about almost everything else but the money.

And yes that seems counter intuitive but how many times have we seen people make more money and go through debt reviews, only to end up back in the same place or in a worse place?

That's because it was never about the money.

The money was just a symptom of something deeper going on within you.

I realized something a long time ago - you can't trick the universe.

YOUR ENERGY IS YOUR CURRENCY

The universe is responding to all of you, not just the conscious part of you that is saying the affirmations, but the traumatized, unconscious part of you as well. You can only ever attract that which you are at the deepest level - clients, business partners, friends, lovers etc.

A friend recently shared how she hired a top coach to teach her all the practical things she coaches on. And she applied all those practical things and got no results.

And how could this be?

This coach is amazing. Everyone says so. But it's not about the coach or her work. Her work is good. It works for most people.

SO WHY IS IT THAT SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR MOST PEOPLE WON'T WORK FOR US?

What witchcraft is this?

When I started out in business I also hired coaches to teach me the practical business things and I also applied those practical things and nothing.

The shift happened when I did the work, the inner work, which I really didn't want to do.

And then I applied the practical stuff. So my advice to my friend was: do the inner work and then re-apply what the coach taught you. 

Because you're energetically blocking the results.

Often we want to be at point B, but our energy and soul and spirit is too traumatized or still dealing with point A to go to point B and there's no amount of earthly knowledge or pushing that will change that.

You can renovate the house, change the exterior and still get the same non paying tenants. Lose weight, move countries, date different cultures and still attract the same kind of lover.

Get a higher qualification and get a raise and still end up with even more debt.

You can quit your job and complain about not having money and your family will still ask you for help.

You can't trick life. It all comes back to the inner work.
