This article will delve into Brad's background, tracing his journey from his early education to his enduring friendships that culminated in forming a group of brands relentlessly driving the healthcare industry to greater heights.
Brad Bond: A Strong Education
Brad graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. Located in the lively city of Bethany, Oklahoma, SNU is the culmination of multiple small colleges dedicated to educating individuals for leadership and reconciliation in their communities and globally. Boasting over 32,000 alumni, SNU graduates can be found serving and working across the United States and worldwide.
The school's Organizational Leadership program is designed to cultivate individuals into true leaders equipped with the necessary aptitudes and skills to succeed in any organization. This program gives students the knowledge and expertise to drive transformative change and grow in leadership roles. In a challenging business landscape, companies constantly require competent leaders. After earning his degree, Brad was eager to seize any opportunity that would allow him to demonstrate his capabilities.
Brad Bond & Joe Spann: A Fateful Meeting
Composed of numerous hospitals and 80 regional clinics, Hillcrest HealthCare System is home to renowned institutions such as the Oklahoma Heart Institute and the Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital. As the leading hospital in the region for the prevention and treatment of heart disease, the Oklahoma Heart Institute boasts cutting-edge medical technology and facilities. Similarly, the Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital has been recognized as the top spine hospital in Oklahoma, providing exceptional care and treatment to patients in need.
With a reputation upheld by numerous accolades, Hillcrest Healthcare System required a skilled team to maintain its position as one of the state's top medical resources. The company sought out talented experts capable of taking on the challenges placed before them.
In 1992, Brad Bond joined Hillcrest Healthcare System, becoming Vice President of Managed Care Contracting. In this role, he oversaw health plan contracting, assisted in revenue management, administered provider relations, directed network administration, and led capitation network management. Throughout his tenure, Brad accumulated a wealth of valuable experience, which he drew upon each day. While academic knowledge is essential, Brad recognized the significance of hands-on experience in achieving success in his role.
Meeting Joe Spann , Hillcrest's Manager of Information Resources, Provider Networks, and Utilization Management, marked the beginning of a great relationship.
Upon joining Hillcrest, Joe Spann initially worked in the risk management division, overseeing various aspects of risk-bearing managed care contracts. In addition to this, he provided leadership for financial decision-making support services. As a result of his extensive experience in the field, Joe was called upon to advise Hillcrest on every aspect of the revenue cycle, both at the physician practice and hospital level. His knowledge and expertise proved invaluable in this regard.
The two individuals shared comparable work ethics and a common vision for the future, eventually leading them to depart from their leadership roles and establish the Physician Management Assistance Group. This group introduced a novel delegated credentialing model, significantly transforming the entire process.
This was just the beginning.
Brad Bond: The Long Road
At a Medical Group Management Association conference in 2010, Joe Spann and Brad Bond crossed paths with Guy Feist . Guy and his father, Mr. James Feist , had founded the Fifth Avenue Agency in 2003. The Feist father-son duo adapted to industry trends, leveraging successful strategies for their company's benefit and devising solutions to overcome obstacles.
Guy C. Feist previously founded his agency in 1993, specializing in Life, Accident, Medical Malpractice, Property, and Casualty Insurance. Guy expanded his company's reputation, gaining invaluable experience along the way. He learned from his successes and failures, using them to his advantage. Despite a challenging medical malpractice insurance market, Guy supported many physicians, guiding them through the process.
His father, Jim Feist , had already had decades of industry experience, applying it everywhere he went. Mr. Feist obtained his MS in Marketing from 美国俄克拉荷马州立大学 and his MBA from the University of Oklahoma . He received his insurance license in January 1968. Also, he earned the designation of a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from The American College of Financial Services.
As the four men got to know each other, they discovered that they shared a similar vision for the future of healthcare. They aimed to provide physicians with innovative services enabling them to perform their jobs without being hindered by administrative bureaucracy.
Using their progressive model, Joe Spann and Brad Bond's Physician Management Assistance Group revolutionized how credentialing was conducted. Meanwhile, the Fifth Avenue Agency had a remarkable reputation for managing medical malpractice insurance with exceptional proficiency and discernment. Through their experience, they realized that medical malpractice underwriting and credentialing were both fundamental components of risk management. They shared the same basic data, probed similar questions, and worked with the same clientele.
It was a natural and logical step for both companies to collaborate and pool their resources. By combining their efforts, they could benefit from the combined knowledge and insight of a streamlined underwriting process incorporating aggregated data while providing complementary services. They seized the opportunity to leverage each other's strengths.
Fifth Avenue: A Rising Company
The two companies merged to form Fifth Avenue Physician Services. The company rapidly expanded its footprint across around 40 states, harnessing a powerful network and cultivating new relationships to provide cutting-edge medical professional liability insurance, credentialing, and provider enrollment solutions. The company's approach to meeting its client's needs sets it apart in the market, earning it a stellar reputation and allowing it to fulfill the expectations of its clients at every turn. Through its unwavering dedication to providing top-tier services, Fifth Avenue Physician Services emerged as a leader in the healthcare industry, poised for continued success in the years to come.
Fifth Avenue Physician Services underwent a significant transformation in 2017 when the company changed its name to Fifth Avenue Healthcare Services to reflect its broader range of services—the rebranding aimed to position the company as a provider of diverse healthcare solutions. As part of the rebranding effort, the company revamped its three brands' websites to align with the new corporate identity, signaling a new chapter of growth and expansion.
The name change was symbolic and strategic, reflecting the company's commitment to meeting the healthcare industry's evolving needs and advancing its mission to provide cutting-edge solutions to its clients.
Fifth Avenue Healthcare Services is a family of companies that includes Fifth Avenue Agency , 5ACVO , and Primoris Credentialing Network . The advantage of having all these companies under one banner is that healthcare providers can benefit from the streamlined process. Using 5ACVO , healthcare providers can undergo credentialing, while Primoris Credentialing Network can help with enrollment on a health plan. Not to be outdone, Fifth Avenue Agency can provide medical professional liability insurance. Thanks to shared data, these tasks can be completed in a fraction of the time they would take. This consolidation of services is a boon for healthcare providers, saving them time and money.

By obtaining NCQA Credentialing Accreditation, we have proven our ability to swiftly and accurately credential healthcare providers, enabling them to start billing promptly and adhere to established standards of care. This status can appeal to potential clients seeking a trustworthy and efficient process for credentialing and enrollment in health plans.
Fifth Avenue Healthcare Services passed two significant audits , which expanded the number of health plans that providers can enroll in:
HealthSmart
In 2021, Primoris underwent a delegated oversight audit of its credentialing policies and procedures by HealthSmart, one of the largest third-party administrators in the United States.
An offsite audit of credentialing files was also conducted to ensure compliance. The audit results were outstanding, with a final score of 100%.
MultiPlan
MultiPlan, a healthcare cost management company, audited Primoris Credentialing Network's delegated provider enrollment policies and procedures in March 2022. The audit results showed that Primoris met all the requirements for credentialing, recredentialing, appeals, provider rights monitoring, and system controls.
Growth
Primoris Credentialing Network recently expanded its service area to include Missouri and Illinois . This means that healthcare providers in those states can now benefit from Primoris' delegated credentialing services, allowing them to start working and billing as quickly as possible. By using a single application to enroll providers in multiple health plans and networks, providers and their practices can save valuable time, leading to increased revenue.
