OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN IS TOO PASSIONATE TO LET THE DEVIL HAVE HIS WAY WITH US!
The passage, ‘They are protected from the Destroyer’ (John 10:28), reminds us that, like the little boy whose response to a reporter after his father, in an incredible tug-of-war with an alligator who crept up on him while swimming in the lake behind his house on a hot Florida afternoon, had managed to save him from certain death was, ‘I’ve got great scars on my arms too because my dad held me and wouldn’t let go!’, when we belong to God, no one can have us. In other words, no circumstances can take us away from His love and no consequence can steal us from His Hand. So let the knowledge that: 1) The Devil will send others to attack us with discouragement and guilt, and tempt us to walk away from God; 2) He will try to make us think we are so far from God that there is no way home; and 3) We may even make poor choices that leave us spiritually and emotionally scarred; but 3) Our Father in Heaven is too passionate to let him have his way with us; teach you, whatever you may be going through today, to let those powerful words of assurance give you peace!FG www.fgtalks.com
