Our External Environments Lend a Hand in Well-Being
Once upon a time I went to design school. I didn't finish this quest because I became sidetracked with babies and I knew it was not going to be my career. Nonetheless, I have always been a hobbyist decorator. I love architecture and design and get lost (happily) in the home improvement/decor stores. One of the philosophies I have always strongly believed is that your external environment makes a difference to your internal environment (and vice versa). So when I found this brief article in the March 2020 Issue of Psychology Today I was very excited to read it. It's title caught me: How to Make a Happier Home.
The author lists five things we can incorporate into our interiors to improve our well-being:
1. Wood
2. Higher Ceilings
3. Curves
4. Non-minimalism
5. Windows-Light
I am a big fan of all. Though you may just have to deal with whatever ceiling height your builder gave you, the other four can be accomplished with decor. Of course if you really want to do it up right, you can call a good architect/designer/contractor.

I'd love to hear what you think.
To your Health!
