Our Employees "Rise Up" for the Falcons!
Kelly Piccininni
Senior Director, HR Operations and Shared Services at Northside Hospital
Northside Hospital and its employees are proud supporters of the Atlanta community - so of course, we’re fans of the Atlanta Falcons! We’re the preferred healthcare partner of the Falcons players and their fans.
Throughout the season, Northside celebrated with fans at Falcons Landing before each home game, and our breast cancer survivors were honored with a week of activities saluting them. Northsiders also participated in employee contests, like Rise Up for the Playoffs.
For the Rise Up competition, employees submitted what “Rise Up” means to them - everything from personal commitment, to attitude, to approach to patient care. The winning submission for Rise Up for the Playoffs came from Sterling Jackson, a sterile core technician at Northside Hospital Forsyth. His winning response was:
"What does Rise Up mean to me? It means to wake up with a smile on my face and a prayer to my lord and savior to watch over me and my co-workers as we come together to help give the best care to our patients.
To be positive to everyone you see and pass down the hallways and to make sure you make as many people smile everyday. I think Rise Up also means to make every person feel important, no matter their condition or reason to be in our hospital."
Employees like Sterling are why I’m proud to be a part of the Northside family. And - go Falcons!
