Our Desire For Authenticity

First, we must address the need for authenticity and what it can mean for our lives.?

With societal shifts, various perspectives at play, the rise in self infatuation, and our ability to construct an image of how we are seen in this world through the advent of social platforms, filters, etc. We are now seeing, and seeking authentic community, authentic connection, and support from others because the lack thereof.???

The true question is what is authenticity and what does that mean to you??

Our deepest desire as humans is to be known and accepted at the foundation of any interaction from our family relationships, business interactions, and new engagements which all have us yearning for authentic connection.?

Because it is through our connection that trust emerges. As we know the true power of trust builds lifelong bonds that can be fruitful from community involvement, to successful business partnerships and sustainably enriching friendships.?

But, what if we cannot emit the elegance of authentic connection because we do not know ourselves, or we have not dealt with our shortcomings that shield us from being this true self. It has been proven, you cannot give what you do not have.?

With our deepest desires being connection and acceptance the questions remains, who are we, and how are we showing up to the people we encounter in this world??

Are we providing an atmosphere of transparency and understanding, or are we portraying a sense of false reality?

The fa?ade of accolades, of complete balance, discipline, and overall control of life can be the proverbial smoke and mirrors. As the strong capable person you are you must create an image that doesn't portray weakness.

But what if showing your weakness and vulnerability allows for your power to increase? I'd believe to say showing your authentic self allows for you to tap into your deepest strengths.

It is your authentic self you desire to meet and remember, and it is by addressing and proclaiming openly your internal struggles you take your power of authenticity back in order to share your true self with others.?

With the constant shifting of today's culture and the external stimulus surrounding us it is our responsibility to constantly evaluate the state of our authenticity and ask the questions who we are becoming and how we show up in this world.?

If it is true authenticity we seek then it is true authenticity we must become.
