Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

3 年Thank you Sara Junio. "As we're liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others." A recent Bible study revealed "Through Christ Our Comfort Overflows"... II CORINTHIANS (NIV)? 1:3?? Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,?? 4?? who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.?? 5?? For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.?? 6?? If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.?? 7?? And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.?
