OUR CONTINUOUS THANKSGIVING

OUR CONTINUOUS THANKSGIVING

This is a picture that goes through the several centuries of our history as Infantry-regardless of war, Marine or Army or branch of service. The men are listening to their commander briefing them on the next operation. Very few are older than 30 and most less than 25.

The commander is probably not the oldest but he is their father and leader. They will do whatever he asks and he will be with them-sharing. They don't ask a lot of questions and they have minimal doubts. They know the leadership in that room-officer and NCO-will do their best to bring them back alive. They judge events and people quickly and react accordingly.

They used to be individuals-now they are not. They are a team and always will be from this day to the day they die. The memories and the faces will always be there-waiting for their orders and reflecting on next steps. For these people and those before and after, our Nation owes great thanks.

Yes indeed … where do we find such men & women who are willing to subject themselves to the ultimate sacrifice … their very lives …??? May God continue to bless the United States ???? of America!!!

Very profound

While our nation's wars differed (different enemies, terrain, reasons), one aspect remains constant throughout every war. Each American war was fought by America's best - young men and women who sacrificed their future to serve their country and the American people.

Captured to the letter! ????????
