OUR CONNECTIONS & US

Our Connections & Us
This morning, I find myself reflecting on the meaning of our connection in LinkedIn. See, I find LinkedIn a wonderful tool that has the potential to enhance our human interdependence.
In spite of this potential, we are squandering it. We bring our busy lives into it. Most of us use indiscriminately the emoticons provided by LinkedIn. These cute little "harmless" things are void of human emotion. I write this because, in context; WORDS are important. In most of my invitations to connect, not lately and I regret it; I make a point to copy and paste something of value. I also at least make sure that I write the name of the person whom I'm asking to connect with. See, it is not that hard.
It is important, from my perspective, to write at least each name, because this simple gesture implies engagement. Please do not disengage, if most of us disengage from our fellow humans; we are bound to fail.
LinkedIn is suppose to represent the cradle of mankind, the leaders of our species, the stewards of our planet, Let's act accordingly.
I write this, because earlier, I received from a beautiful woman a few words thanking me for joining her network. These few words brought tears to my eyes. You see, out of my thousands of connections, I can count with the fingers one hand the times someone has done this. I know it is sad, it pains me but also, and this may seem strange; feels me with joy. Joy, because now I know where is the culprit.
Thank you for reading this and if you find it of value, share it among those you believe could benefit from it. Truly yours.
