Our commitment to iFood's Impact and Sustainability is to generate value by considering double materiality.
We prioritize the need to manage our operations responsibly, ensuring they positively impact our surroundings while also addressing how environmental and societal changes affect our performance.
Our strategies are aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and the World Economic Forum's Good Work Alliance, focusing on three key pillars: the future of work, education, and the environment.
Key achievements in these areas:
Education iFood is one of the top companies investing in education. We have enabled 6,000 couriers to complete high school, trained 12,000 in technology, and provided employment for 5,000 people in tech roles.
Environment We have successfully avoided tons of plastic waste in deliveries, and 100% of our deliveries are carbon neutral, thanks to our carbon credit purchases.
Future of Work With a focus on well-being and safety, we have achieved a 25% reduction in cases of violence against couriers in Rio de Janeiro. This success is the result of a comprehensive program to prevent violence and discrimination.
Overall, we have a cohesive impact agenda that drives significant outcomes, from reducing our material impacts to fostering positive change through education, all while strengthening our management model and company culture.
