Yes, the answer is Yes. Our brain has twins, not one of him, even many. They (twins of our brain) are Immortal, Smarter, Faster, Richer, and so on. Better than everything from us.
In future we can't survive without them. They control us for all most everything and even control our minute decisions.
It seems fascinating and scary!
Who are they?
The digital versions of our own brain. They are born made up of using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep fakes, Intelligent Avatar Platforms (IAP)…. many more intelligent applications. They react to an action, exactly same as what we do.
Have you heard about the joke: Google knows you better than what you or your family knows about you.!
The Netflix documentary "The Social Dilemma" has been in the news recently. But it's not a surprise, this practice exists quite some time. Mega technology companies like Google, Facebook, Alibaba group have made these twins by collecting our personal information from many sources, and it's ok for us sometimes with limited choices. When we use some apps, do we read the wordplay or misleading versions of Terms and Conditions? Their sophisticated algorithm mimics and predicts user action. The digital twins constantly collect people's personal data and manipulate people's decisions. One's personal information is a great asset, which is more valuable than gold or any other precious items.
The upcoming time, with the evolution of high speed internet (5G Technology) even help them to collect real time data, complex statistics functions, deep-learning algorithms, deep fakes, voice cloning, better infrastructure for Big Data can help further prediction or manipulate someone or force a person to do some activity will be easier for them. A digital database of your thoughts, memories, feelings, and opinions that are essentially helping to mimic as you are. Iterative simulation of someone's digital brain provides a suitable result to take some action. Technically, they are taking many of your decisions on your behalf. You just act like, it's my decision.
For example:
- Companies can push their products to each person by a personalized marketing campaign. Does a person need to buy this product or service out of 1000's competitor, based on someone's buying behavior, type of credit card holding, recent activities or how sensitive about pricing and personalized promotions given?
- Influence a person to participate in a political rally.
- Holding someone's exercise habit in a specific Gym.
- Which movie we should watch next?
- Can blinds walk without any assistance, what if misguided?
- Create a realistic video of someone which is hyper realistic.
- Which banking facility someone should use? Google pay, Apple pay, Alipay or Paytm?
- Influence a person to buy a specific type and specific brand apparel from neighboring store.
- 360 view of Health History, like credit rating history.
- what if companies started using your personal non-financial data like, GPS location (for potential shopping location), Social media data, health information to offer a credit, other than depend on only your financial credit score.
Protect your own data?
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) act can protect someone's personal information, how about the information about someone's personal behavior or trained ML models. Still no clear control over the data collection process and the usage. Digital literacy can empower someone's own rational decision and sharing personal data on certain circumstances.
Can be used for destructive use: Fake News, Personal Use, unethical practices.
Huu.. all this information making us think of a dark future.
Hold on, we as humans always survive from the worst, and we know how to get the best of something or better use of something.
Future is coming, tighten your seat belt where you will be experiencing the digital version of yourself at an extreme altitude. The world will become a better place with digitization and virtualization. You will feel some extra ordinary experience that never exist before.
We will use this for a constructive use: Education, Arts, Health, Agriculture, and Infrastructure, etc...
