Our Big Plans for 2022

Our Big Plans for 2022

As we are nearing the half-year mark of 2022 (can you believe it?), I have started to look back and reflect on the last few months. A lot has changed, for me personally and professionally. And it’s the perfect time to contemplate and plan out the rest of the year.

?

The Year That's Been So Far

My most exciting news is that I have finally booked flights to see my family and friends in Germany over Christmas. It will be 3.5 years since I have hugged them, and I am over the moon. I think this is what I missed the most during the pandemic and lockdowns, the fact that we couldn’t plan into the future and didn’t have much to look forward to in terms of traveling. It feels so good to get giddy about the prospect of dinners around tables with my most special people.

In terms of work, 2022 started with a bang with more coaching clients than ever before. What I noticed is that the change into a more normal, post-pandemic world was actually really tough for people and so many of my clients felt the pressure of restructures, omicron waves, schools, and healthcare struggling and finding ways to make the hybrid workplace thrive.

The last few months have almost been a bit of a blur for me as we designed and delivered more coaching and transformational leadership programs all over the world than ever before. I said to a friend last week: “I feel like I have never worked harder in my life.’ Whilst a little bleary-eyed, it makes me so happy to have been able to support leaders in their quest to develop and lead their teams in this crazy, fast-changing world.

We have also been busy growing DISC Flow in Australia. We have been training dozens of people to become DISC certified and use this amazing diagnostic tool in their practices and organisations. Check out?our website? for more details.

Our Content

You might have noticed that we have sent out fewer newsletters and blogs than usual and that’s solely based on the fact that we have been so busy delivering. But the insights I was able to gain whilst working with hundreds of leaders over the past few months are invaluable, and it is that work and these conversations that help me identify what leaders need right now to lead the future.

The challenges with attrition, lack of motivation, increased stress, lack of meaningful communication, ineffective meetings, silos etc. are common everywhere and it is clear that we need to equip managers on every level to lead with head and heart. Whilst restructures and digital transformations call for solid processes and systems, it’s the humans who make it all work.

Our Big Plans for 2022

We are in the process of designing brand new programs to enable leaders to adopt the skills that matter now and focus on tackling the challenges of disruption and constant change. We are going to launch a brand-new emerging leader, leader as coach, and meeting the challenge of change program.

And, of course, you will hear from me more regularly again as I will share insights, tips, and practical models in our social and email content.
