Our "Best Revenge" Will Be the Next Generation
How many entrepreneurs do you know that would take the time to write a very emotional post - about Israel no less - right before an extremely important meeting in Houston?
The only entrepreneurs who will be successful in the new era are those that are concerned with everything happening in our society.
I know I wrote about Maor Farid just the other day - but he is a perfect example of what I'm always talking about. The necessity to boost our emotional intelligence if we want to succeed in business.
Here he is polishing his presentation for a fateful meeting for his startup, and what's weighing on his mind? Everything that's going on back home in Israel. He is pouring out his heart to us, and providing an exceptional example of the kind of leadership we need everywhere from now on - the tech on its own is no longer enough. The only entrepreneurs who will be successful in the new era are those that are concerned with everything happening in our society.
Last time I commented about him saying that our best revenge would be to rebuild.
This time I'm commenting that our best revenge will be this younger generation - they are so perceptive, so sensitive, so tuned in to their emotions, so brave about speaking their mind and expressing what's really in their heart. Plus - they have their priorities in order, and really understand what's most important.
Maor Farid 's startup is offering the world's first engineering design copilot, empowering engineers and designers to turn ideas into mechanical product designs in seconds.
This story is really ironic because I was raised by a genius mechanical engineer who would have been the world's best father - but in the emotional intelligence department, he was lacking some basic human chip.
To make a long story short - whether we are born this way or not, from now on we're all going to have to work on upgrading that human chip we have inside - meaning we're going to have to learn how to boost our emotional intelligence.
We used to do this by reading books or learning new things, but we're right on the verge of discovering that the best way to accelerate this process is to do it together.
