Our Anxiety
The root cause of most of our anxiety is our excessive focus on the outcomes instead of the journey.
For example, if we have an interview the next day, we get anxious about the possible outcome. But if we can focus on the things we should do in the next few hours instead, we can handle our anxiety much better.
One way to focus on the journey is to write down our daily goals the night before and mark them complete at the end of the day. A sense of accomplishment from tiny milestones is the best medicine for anxiety.
