Bagged the Best Lead Guitarist and Rythm Guitarist Award.
When I started college I still want to continue to play in a band and join gigs. Back then, my band in highschool got disbanded due to personal reasons. I enrolled in a school that's just 30-minutes away from our house, so after school I get to practice my guitar when I get home. There's this famous music store called Lazer at one of the super malls near us. We always go there to jam and talk to the staff which are also musicians.
One time, our bassist texted me saying he is at the said store and wanted to meet. He's with some other guys who happens to be friends also at the said store's staffs. So we met and exchange greetings and influences. The guitar player is also a virtuoso, our main dish before was Canon Rock (D Major) and other blues songs. Our drummer is more on the syncopated style of drumming. His chops were more into jazz and our bassist was more on the slapping.
We tried to jam for some OPM songs and instrumentalist type for noodling.
Back then there was an ad on Facebook inviting bands to join the Battle of the Bands. I believe it was the perfect opportunity as well to bond, so we signed-up.
The event was just 3-days away and we have to find a vocalist -- I invited my friend Ken to sing. We practice at our bassist's house.
The songs we picked were the infamous song that's always being played in every Battle of the Bands, Nosi Balasi by Sampaguita, Beep Beep by Juan Dela Cruz (Razorback version), and our soundcheck was Canon Rock.

Fortunately, we bagged several awards from Best Lead Guitarist, Rythm Guitarist and 3rd Place.
The Key Signature that was used is E minor with covered eyes while soloing. ??
I'm grateful for the experience that led me to this award as well. My long time practice have come into fruition.
And, grateful as well for my bandmates, my friends, my brothers.
Our band is called Iskalah.
