Our 2022 round up: a message from Paul Moat

This is a special time of year to celebrate how far we have come and show our appreciation to colleagues and customers.

Throughout the years we have worked with many charities and received some very kind donations for our customers who are most in need. This month I think we’ve topped the charts with all the amazing and heart-warming donations from businesses, charities and colleagues.

For me, December this year has summed up why working for NCHA feels as exciting now as it has ever done.

On 13 Dec, the long-awaited Better Social Housing Review commissioned by the National Housing Federation and the Chartered Institute of Housing was issued. We welcome the review and fully support its seven recommendations.

A few weeks back I, along with the rest of the Executive team, volunteered at Second Avenue; a wonderful project supporting residents with learning disabilities. We turned an old store room into a sensory room and received lovely feedback from residents and support workers.?

Finally, we’re absolutely delighted to have retained our V1 G1 status with the Regulator of Social Housing. Every year they carry out a check on all housing associations to rate the strength of their governance and finances. Retaining the highest possible rating is testament to the dedication and hard work of our colleagues.

So here’s looking forward to the year ahead (we have a milestone birthday to celebrate!). Have a lovely festive break and best wishes to you and your loved ones for the New Year.
