Our 2021 Sustainability Report
Today we released our 2021 Sustainability Report which provides an in-depth overview of our bank’s actions to tackle the urgent sustainability challenges that people, our communities and our planet are facing.
The effects of climate change are more visible every year, and require a coordinated effort across society to address. Inequality in our society diminishes us all – reducing our potential as a collective and standing in the way of what we’re capable of. And new and emerging forms of technology which offer tremendous promise also require the right governance to ensure that we’re leveraging them to help us all move forward.
Against this backdrop, financial institutions have a critical role to play as enablers to help stakeholders realize their sustainability ambitions. CIBC continues to make progress on this front, applying industry-leading approaches to seize opportunities and manage risks in areas like sustainable finance, climate change, inclusion and diversity, and data ethics.
Our team of over 45,000 strong has never been more determined to work together with our clients and all stakeholders to build on the momentum that’s already gathering. Given the complexity of the challenges we all face, it’s the power of innovation, inclusion, and collective action that will drive us forward.
Anchored in our purpose to help make your ambition a reality, CIBC recently announced a refocused ESG strategy built around three pillars: accelerating climate action, creating access to opportunities, and building integrity and trust. In this year’s report, we highlight the actions and investments we’re making in a more sustainable future against this strategy.
I am very proud of what our team has accomplished. At the same time, we will continue to challenge ourselves to do more alongside our stakeholders. We have a unique opportunity to retool, rethink and reimagine the future and what we can accomplish in years to come – and we’re ready to play our part.

2 年Good morning sir, I would like to claim that I provided personal documents to verify my identity in order to activate my CIBC COSTCO card at the branch located at 620 boulevard Lebourgneuf Québec on March 31, 2022 and now no one knows the fate of my personal documents and confidential. I request your intervention before initiating a legal action because there is no respect for the law on the protection of personal information. Thank you

2 年Does your corporation have any standards for morality or ethics ? I ask this respectfully as I am a past victim of CIBCS seemingly absent morality and ethics, at least based on the cruel and unusual treatment I had personally experienced when dealing with CIBC. So many CIBC adds attempt to portray CIBC as a corporation that helps and supports Candians in a moral and ethical way. Hard to read them, In my case CIBC sold me mortgage insurance I did not evidently or knowingly qualify for. Past all the preliminaries and bonefied client. CIBC took premiums for over 2.5 years. and would have kept taking premiums had I not submitted a life changing cancer claim. No need to tell me to direct my coments to client services, as I have already experienced the powerful arm of your Ombusdman and legal group. All they did is prove that a Canadian has no fair or nuetral arena to be heard or any neutral dispute representation when dealing with CIBC and thier unregulated tyranny imposed upon unsuspecting Canadians. No disrespect to anyone yet openly wonder why or how CIBC mortgage insurance policies could or should be allowed to devastate anyone !
