Happy creatures with cheeky ways

Making the most of a beautiful day

Here they are frolicking away

Not a care in the world 

No worries as they play

Hunting for clams and smashing them with stones

A clever little hunter who nurtures his own

Inquisitive and free

On land and in sea

The Otter with his family

Powerful webbed feet and a muscular tail 

A water proof coat 

Insulated to keep him warm 

Perfect to weather any storm

Strong lungs to hold his breath when he swims underwater 

Abilities to be sought after 

Fish, eels, frogs and birds are all on his menu - depending on what he can find

A stealth like hunter and well primed

Searching river beds, lakes and seas

To catch his preferred delicacy 

Strong sharp claws to aid him on his quest

Shellfish he appears to like the best

His pup watching and learning 

Just wanting to play

Admiring his dad as he goes on his way

His mother leading him back to the holt 

Also known as a den 

To nurture her pup and keep him safe at home -again xx
