OTP shared but..I applied logic!

Mr. Ganapathy, retired from?service and got deposited all his retirement benefits in MFs, Debt Funds and kept about 25 lacs in the Savings Bank account?which was a joint account that included his wife's name too.

He taught her online banking and the importance of *OTP*, i.e. not to divulge OTP?to anyone.

One evening, Ganpathy returned from a walk:

"I forgot to take my mobile, anything important", he asked.

Wife said.."Someone phoned from the bank."

Ganapathy froze "Reg OTP !" asked shockingly.

"You are smart - of course they wanted me to share the OTP as they wanted to convert our account from silver status to diamond status with more benefits!!"

"My God, did you get an OTP??Did you share it?"

"Of course! When it is the bank people calling how can I refuse", said the wife with all happiness.

Ganapathy slumped on the sofa.

He immediately took the mobile,

logged into a bank account, with his heart pounding like a jet motor set murmuring:

"Idiot ... 25 lacs gone!!!!!!"

But, he was pleasantly surprised to see not only 25 lakhs were safe but the SB interest was added to it.

After regaining his sense a while later, he asked.

"Did you share the OTP, correctly?"

"Yes, yes - but the bank people said it is not correct. And they asked me to re-check. But I stood my ground".

"What was the OTP?"

"It was, I think, 2404. I applied logic. Since it is a joint account, I shared only half of the OTP.e.?1202." ....
