Others talking loudly; India acting quietly

Heartening to read (in TOI today) Indian Army deploying its largest ever contingent of women soldiers for UN peacekeeping operations in the volatile oil-rich Abyei region of Africa. By recognizing - “The female engagement team (FET) will provide relief and assistance to local women and children in one of the highly operational and challenging conditions under the UN flag”, the Indian Army has exemplified compassion at its best.
I also went on to read that it is not an isolated example. There is precedence of deployment of yet another trailblazing female peacekeeping police unit to Liberia in 2007.
This affirmative action by Indian Army has not gone unnoticed. Our Honorable Prime Minister has acknowledged it, saying, it is participation by our ‘Nari Shakti’. ???
Many other countries talk about DEI passionately, but act on it passively; India on the other hand seem to be approaching it the other way around!
