Will Other's follow China's gaming ban?

China is introducing a Tik-Tok style app that will be limiting kids to using it for 40 minutes a day. The app will be providing educational short videos to youth in an attempt to help limit the type of content that can be viewed by the younger generation. The article states?" China's government is seeking to implement far-reaching rules on the algorithms tech companies use to recommend other videos and content" and I believe it is something we should consider implementing as well. It is no secret nowadays that youth spend an abundance of time using technology and social media, and parents don't always know what their child may be viewing. The content on many of these apps may not always be appropriate for children or youth and a lot of the time do not provide a good influence to youth. Therefore, limiting what content a child can see on social media and providing them with educational content instead can provide a positive impact on the younger generation. Displaying educational and purposeful content for youth and limiting the time they can be on these devices or apps can be a step in the right direction. It will encourage youth to be constantly learning and hopefully encourage them to get outside more, spend more time with family and less time on devices. Which is something I believe we all can work on as I know I personally spend a lot of time on my device.??
