The Others Culture
In life a pyramid is a great analogy for many things in our lives.? The bigger the base, the bigger and higher the pyramid can be.? That principle is simple and basic, yet profound.
?
When a company builds on a culture of . . . . OTHERS, it exponentiates its ability to grow in a positive manner.? Just like the pyramid.? It produces a bigger base that it starts from; thus, sets its own stage for overwhelming growth.
?
Let’s relate it to a more personal level . . . the individual.? When a person is self-centered and pushing for growth they are in essence a one man team.? Their individual growth is bottlenecked by their one mind or train of thought.? However, when a group is collectively helping one grow (and improve) that individual’s growth potential is expanded by the size of the group.
?
When a company creates a culture of “others” it produces that group setting of growth potential for every single individual in the company.? This translates to corporate, department breakdowns, task forces, etc.? The ability of whatever segment is exponentially grown by the “others culture”.?
?
The only word of warning for this is controlling the harshness of “constructive criticism”.? Both sides of it has to be kind and openminded for improvement to prevent a derailment by hurt feelings.
?
As a closing example I bring you the Blue Angels.? Each group of Blue Angels is led by an officer.? In their meetings the officer lowers himself to the level of their subordinates making him open to constructive criticism just the same as the others.? This is done for the sake of improvement of the team.
So, go build a pyramid.
