Other uses for alcohol, besides drinking it (who knew?)

Other than drinking it, alcohol has it’s uses that could solve some everyday problems

Smelly feet –  Next time you’re taking a shot of Vodka, put some on your toes! The high alcohol content of vodka will kill the bacteria that causes the odour.

Revive your car engine – Your car battery can actually run on red wine! Red wine is an acidic liquid which allows electrons to freely move around between positive and negative. This provides sufficient energy to bring the engine back to life.

Run out of windshield wiper fluid – The vodka is about to become handy again. If your windshield-washer supply is empty then a mixture of water, dishwashing detergent and vodka could do the trick!

Become a baking God or Goddess – If you are engrossed in your cookie dough and suddenly discover you are out of vanilla extract, don’t panic! A great substitution would be a cream-based liqueur.

Dull hair – Add body, volume and shine to your hair with beer! Boiling beer down and mixing it with your shampoo will easily transform your locks.

Dig out those vintage gems – Get rid of any musty odours by spritzing unflavoured vodka. The alcohol kills the bacteria that creates the smell without leaving any of it’s own smell behind.

Don’t let your garden overrun with poison ivy – Now is the perfect time to show your garden some love. Get rid of those pesky weeds by mixing vodka and water into a spray bottle and go crazy! Vodka is dehydrating and will kill the poison ivy.

Bring your grass back to life – Your lawn loves beer as much as you do! Water the grass with a mixture of water and beer a couple times a week. The sugar in the beer will encourage the microbes to break up the soil.
